Both Strange and Familiar: A New Theatre in Vancouver

A proposal for a seasonal theatre pavilion explores a methodology of working with references that creates spaces both strange in their character yet familiar by way of their relationship to the precedent. In the project, Basilica Palladiana in Vicenza is transformed into a new seasonal theatre in Vancouver suited for Bard on the Beach festival.
