Proposal for Burning Man Festival
2016
This proposal for a temple erected at the annual Burning Man festival is an exploration of the interaction between structure and ornament. Here, the highly ornamental facades of the temple are formed by rotating just 6 different types of standartised panels, which are as well connected together without any fasteners. The temples are meant to serve as places of gathering for people following a hypothetical celebrity religion of Beyonce.
The temple is meant as a temporary construction and can be reimagined in various locations, pictured here is a proposal for Manhattan.
